Is it time to repipe?
Repiping is a bigger decision than a repair, so we only recommend it when the pipes themselves are the problem. Signs your home's water lines may be near the end of their life:
- Galvanized steel pipes. Common in older homes, they corrode from the inside, which slowly restricts flow and eventually causes leaks at the threads.
- Repeated leaks in different places, especially pinhole leaks in older copper.
- Low water pressure throughout the house that isn't explained by a single valve or fixture.
- Rusty or discolored water, especially when a tap is first turned on.
- A major remodel is planned. When walls are already open, it's the most cost-effective time to replace old piping.
If you're seeing one leak, start with leak detection and pipe repair. If they keep coming, we'll talk honestly about whether repiping is the better long-term value.
How a repipe works
- Assessment and plan. We look at the existing system, how the house is laid out, and where new lines can run with the least disruption.
- Clear price and schedule. You'll know what the project costs and how long the water will be off before we start.
- New lines installed. We run new supply lines, typically in copper or PEX depending on the job, with shut-off valves where they make sense for future service.
- Connections and testing. Fixtures and appliances are reconnected and the new system is pressure-tested.
- Permits and inspection. We pull permits when the job requires one and build to pass inspection the first time.
We keep the work area clean and leave the space the way we found it at the end of each day.
New construction and additions
For new homes, additions, and full remodels, we install complete plumbing systems from the plans: under-slab drain lines before the concrete is poured, drain-waste-vent systems through the framing, water distribution with manifolds or trunk-and-branch layouts, gas piping, and water heater locations. The photos on this page show some of that rough-in work.

Repiping and new construction projects are priced after we see the house or the plans. The main factors are the size of the home and number of fixtures, pipe material, how accessible the walls, ceilings, and basement are, whether drain and vent lines are included, and permit requirements in your town.

How long does it take to repipe a house?
It depends on the size of the home and how accessible the pipes are. We’ll give you a realistic schedule, including how long the water will be off, before the project starts.
Do I have to move out during a repipe?
Usually not. We plan the work so water is off for as little time as possible and restore service at the end of the work day whenever the job allows.
Do you work from blueprints for new construction?
Yes. We install new construction rough-in from blueprints, including under-slab drain lines, drain-waste-vent systems, water lines, and gas piping.
Should I replace old galvanized pipes?
Galvanized pipe corrodes from the inside over time, reducing water pressure and eventually leaking. If your home still has it, replacement is usually worth planning, especially before a remodel.
Do you pull permits for repiping and new construction?
Yes. We install everything to code and pull the proper permits when a job requires one.
